My Grandad on my Mum's side used to love Crossword Puzzles -- I still often think of him fondly, when I spot a thick crossword puzzle book in a shop. And my Dad enjoys a good Word Search puzzle -- I'll sometimes walk into a room to discover him, pen in hand, tongue sticking out the side of his mouth as he concentrates fiercely. So this post is for them, and anyone else out there who shares their love of puzzling! :-)

These two puzzles were both created by a Tweeter with the user name of Darren.Memes, who took a break from creating rib-tickling Cirque Du Freak memes to knock together these two head-scratching challenges. The answers stem mostly from my Cirque Du Freak/Saga Of Darren Shan series, but a few will require knowledge of the Saga Of Larten Crepsley books too, so if you haven't read those yet, now's the perfect time to track them down and tear through them!! :-)
